Jones scores 30, Weber State knocks off Eastern Washington 90-84

CHENEY, Wash. — Dillon Jones tied a career high with 30 points to lead Weber State over Eastern Washington 90-84 on Saturday night.

Jones added eight rebounds and eight assists for the Wildcats. Steven Verplancken Jr. scored 18 points while going 7 of 12 (4 for 7 from 3-point range). Blaise Threatt was 4 of 5 shooting and 5 of 6 from the free throw line to finish with 15 points. The Wildcats extended their winning streak to six games.

The Wildcats handed Eastern Washington its first home loss of the season and the 'Cats move to18-9 and 9-5 in Big Sky play. Eastern Washington is first in the Big Sky standings, now at 11-2 in Big Sky play.

The Eagles (17-9) were led in scoring by Jake Kyman, who finished with 19 points. LeJuan Watts added 15 points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks for Eastern Washington. Dane Erikstrup finished with 14 points.
