Blake Lowe, S, Chaparral HS (Temecula, Calif.)

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound defensive back/linebacker committed to BYU after taking an official visit Week 11 during the Oklahoma game, picking the Cougars over interest from Boise State, Air Force, Arizona and Army, among others.

A three-star recruit by 247Sports, Lowe chose the Cougars over offers from Boise State, Arizona and Washington State, among others. A two-sport athlete who also competes in the 100, 200 and long jump during track-and-field season, Lowe totaled 100 tackles and three interceptions as a senior at Chaparral High School.

  • Totaled 219 tackles in high school to go along with 10 interceptions and 22 pass breakups
  • Played safety, linebacker and wide receiver in high school
  • He also blocked six punts and two field goals
  • A two-time First-Team All-League defender in high school
  • Also earned first-team all-league honors on offense
  • Named Defensive MVP and Team MVP
  • A two-time All-CIF selection
  • Recorded 219 total tackles, 12 interceptions, 800 total yards and 10 touchdowns on both sides of the ball in high school
  • As a senior at Chaparral, posted 100 total tackles, two interceptions, including a pick-six and had eight pass breakups
  • Had 22 receptions, 438 yards and seven touchdowns as a receiver in 2023
  • As a junior, recorded 87 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and five interceptions and nine pass breakups
  • In 2021, posted 32 total tackles and three interceptions
  • Also played varsity basketball
  • Parents are Brent and Krissy Lowe
  • Has a mission call to Mozambique for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
  • Also recruited by Arizona, Utah, Washington State, Boise State, Air Force, Army, Idaho, San Jose State and Utah State
