THE FRONT PORCH — We've all been doorbell ditched (or participated in the ditching), but I'm not sure how many of us would think the prankster would have four legs and beady eyes.

One homeowner in Louisiana was in for a surprise when they watched the footage of the supposed prankster on their doorbell camera and saw, instead of a group of bored kids, a lizard decided to stop in for a visit.

The poor lizard must have been out searching for a meal when he thought he saw a delicious, juicy beetle. But he went to eat it, it put up a big fight and wouldn't come loose from the wall.

He isn't the only one who has been deceived by something pretending to be something else. Remember all those videos of cakes made to look like everyday household objects? I recently saw a video where a baker was hired to make a cake that looked like a toilet, but then the customer backed out. I've never been so impressed by a cake. The baker went so far as to make a toilet paper roll cake, as well.

Eventually, the baker sat on the toilet and as it cracked, the inner cake was revealed.

I guess we can't blame this confused lizard, if we, too, fall for things that aren't what they seem.
