One incident was a rollover that involved three cars, and the other involved three or four cars, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden said.
While neither crash had major injuries, Roden said that the left five lanes were blocked, impeding traffic in the area.
Utah Highway Patrol asked drivers to use alternate routes until the crashes were cleared. UDOT's traffic website showed the incidents cleared by 8:30 p.m. Monday
