SALT LAKE CITY — A woman is dead after a rollover near the northbound I-215 West exit to California Avenue on Friday night.

The incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. when Utah Highway Patrol was dispatched to the area to find a female who was unconscious and unresponsive after being ejected from her vehicle, the Department of Public Safety said in a statement.
"First responders attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful and the individual was pronounced deceased," the statement read.
Exit 21 was closed while officials investigated the scene but has since reopened, police say.

The name of the woman who was killed has not been released pending notification of her family.
